The Taiwan Polar Institute (TaiPI) at National Central University (NCU) has joined the University of the Arctic (UArctic), significantly expanding Taiwan’s participation in global climate change research. Through this international network of over 200 institutions, TaiPI collaborates with global partners to gather crucial observational data on extreme polar climate shifts and ecological governance.

Utilizing its TaiArctic overseas station in Svalbard as an experimental base, NCU leverages its expertise in earth sciences to advance scientific diplomacy. This global collaboration empowers researchers to collect crucial environmental metrics vital for addressing climate resilience, supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and driving meaningful solutions for long-term global sustainability.
