專案摘要/目標
In response to increasingly severe extreme heat and the urban heat island effect, the Ministry of Environment held the "Briefing on the National Shade Climate Adaptation Plan and Promotion of Wood Resource Circulation" at National Central University on July 24, 2026. The event was attended by Minister of Environment Peng Chi-ming, National Central University President Hsiau Shu-san, and Director of the Office of Sustainability and Social Responsibility Chiang Kung-yuh, announcing that industry, government, and academia will cooperate deeply to comprehensively promote "scientific governance of urban forests" and "high-value circulation of wood materials," creating a sustainable Taiwan with climate resilience and autonomous adaptive capacity.
National Central University looks forward to establishing closer cooperative relationships with the Ministry of Environment, local governments, and industry in the future. Whether in the scientific governance and microclimate cooling models of national shade and urban forests; the high-value technology development and waste recycling of wood materials; or regional climate resilience assessments and Nature-based Solutions (NbS) standard verification, NCU will fully provide the highest quality academic and technical support to joint transform national policies into concrete, actionable implementation plans.
