Eco-Floating Islands in NCU Lake

Recycled PVC pipes and discarded plastic milk bottles were made into Eco-Floating Islands in NCU Lake, a campus view which attracted Taoyuan citizens. To fulfill NCU 's sustainability commitment, these floating islands are planted with deep-rooted aquatic plants to absorb excess nutrients, improve water quality, reduce algal growth, and provide habitats for birds and insects, creating a "micro-aqatic ecosystem".
