Plan to reduce energy consumption

(1) Strengthening power-saving measures and establishing a water management system:

National Central University has fully replaced approximately 47,000 traditional lighting fixtures with LED lights across the campus. In addition, the university continues to subsidize various units to replace air conditioning units that have been in use for over 10 years with energy-efficient Level 1 inverter air conditioners. Cooperating with the subsidy program of the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs, a water resources management system has been introduced to gradually establish monitoring mechanisms and enhance energy use efficiency.

(2) Strengthening smart grid connectivity: 

A "smart card-operated power billing system combined with remote control and top-up machine systems" has been established in student dormitories. Smart power monitoring systems have been installed in the Administration Building, Science Building V, and Teaching and Research Building to control air conditioning temperatures and operating hours. Furthermore, the deployment of smart electricity meters across buildings continues, integrating facility electricity consumption into the smart monitoring system for oversight.
